I wanted to try something I’ll call “A Dozen A Day” this month. I obviously didn’t get around to it yesterday…but I had cookies and that’s even better!
What A Dozen A Day will entail is this: I’ll post a 12 word story (or as close to a story as I can get; I ain’t Hemingway, you know) inspired by, or to go with, an illustration or sketch of mine.
If you want to play along, let me know! Also, if you are doing the 365-blog thing (posting one thing a day) and want to exchange links, let me know, too.
Here’s today’s A Dozen A Day:
Her pencil caught a moment of time but couldn’t hold it forever.
Great start! Would make fantastic Mother’s Day art too. Looking forward to what comes next!

Thank you! That was my younger son when he was about 5 or 6, I think. 🙂 Such fond memories even though it’s nice that he can get his own breakfast now. LOL!

Thanks, Julie! I like to try various themes here…it can get tedious for everyone when one posts daily. :}

Nice pairing :-). A neat way of capturing a moment in a moment. Kind of haiku-esque.

I knew it, the computer ate my comment again.
I love how your son inspired you to both draw and write.

Thank you! 🙂 I might have to try and make a haiku with 12 words.

Gotta use those kids for something…I tried using them as doorstops, but they kept walking off. 😀

You didn’t raise them right if you can’t put a controller in their hands and have them sit there for hours on end. 😀
