Cuuuuuuute!!!! 🙂 :-). Why is mousy tapping his/her tail? I had a book with wonderful mouse illustrations when I was a kid. I kept it for a long time. I wonder if my parents still have it somewhere. I tried to Google it but found nothing. Mice are awesome characters. I like them everywhere except my kitchen.
Oh. I think the moving tails are probably grass. The mouse curves are perfect and the tail looking grass curves… on second look… have grass curves. But very close to tail curves. It sort of looks like mousy is about to have a fist fight and she/he is wacking her/his tail on the ground to look fierce. Fierce in a super cute way. Like fighting jackrabbits. Hmm, sometimes you make my imagination ramble :-).
Our mice seem to like our garage (probably because we keep suet cakes in there). They are the cutest things but we do dispatch of them if they make nuisances for themselves. :} Let me know if you think of the title for that book you used to have! I’m curious if I know it.
Thanks, Pat! I try not to multitask too much, but can’t help it. I don’t make strawberry-rhubarb jam because we don’t grow rhubarb. We don’t grow oranges and grapefruits either, but we do a half a year “monthly club” order thing from Pittman & Davis so we always have extra citrus for me to make marmalade with. 🙂
It’s way early for them! These are ones we froze from last June so I could make jelly when the weather was cold. I don’t like canning in warm weather. 🙂 Thanks, Maureen!
Adorable! And the jam sounds delicious.

Adorable mice. You must be a multi-tasker. Send the jam my way. Do you make strawberry/rhubarb jam?

If only the ones that occasionally come into our house were that cute! (K)

Thanks, Micha! Yeah, I’d prefer the mice to not be in or near my house either. 😉

You crack me up! Were you looking at this while sipping wine? I assure you my mousie is a lovely little girl who wouldn’t go for fist fights! Hahaha!

LOL, Kerfe! Even our invaders are cute, but I prefer them to be far away…and feeding the owls. 😉

It may never get published, alas. The publishing world is so hard to break into. Thank you, though! x

Aww, thanks, Jacob! I had hamsters and gerbils, but no mice…close enough though. 😀

I think they are, too, Sharon! Too bad they think we’re here to provide food for them… 😉

It is delicious, Robin! I was dismayed that 8 cups of berries only ended up making 8 tiny half-pints of jelly. :}

I only kill mice that make messes. I would tell them to make a mess elsewhere but they don’t seem to understand sometimes.
The book was part of a series called Mimosa et Petitcri. I found two books with a Google search, but not the one I had.

Is it early for black raspberries? We don’t get blackberries and raspberries here until summer. The mice are adorable!
