This was part of an assignment for the Illustrating Children’s Books class. We are to take one of the critters from Ed Emberley’s Drawing Book of Animals and make a three panel “story” about someone throwing a ball, the critter catching the ball, and then running away with said ball.
lol! Very cute, Teresa! I hope you’re enjoying this! I’m feeling you really rolling toward your goal. ❤

One of my old neighbors had a cat that used to go into the hall, and when we opened our front door, Max would dash in and head straight for my yarn…

Love this, Teresa!! 💕😃 Cool that you choose a ball of yarn… The story doesn’t end that way…hmmm…how far will the cat get? What or who will get wrapped up in string?! A cliffhanger! I like it! 😎👍🏻

Cute! My sister and I loved Ed Emberley books when we were kids. So I’ve got extra smiles from your cat. 🙂

Ed Emberley is a genius! You might want to check out some of his how to draw books…they’re for kids but any artist can learn how to distill objects into simple shapes to draw faster and capture the essence better. 🙂

Hmm… that sounds like a good idea. Maybe I will!!! I think it would be fun to do little animal cartoons. I’ll put this one in my idea box :-).
