Meager harvest

Where did the day go?? Hubby and the boys harvested a ton of veggies today because we’re expecting a hard frost to tonight and tomorrow night. He also picked what remained of our passion fruits…in their varying stages of ripeness. Better than nothing, I suppose.

  1. You eat it kind of like a pomegranate…cut in half and either suck on the fleshy part surrounding the seeds and then spit the seeds out or swallow the seeds after sucking on them. πŸ™‚ I think it’s full of vitamin C (but don’t quote me!). It’s a variety native to North America. The variety you can buy in stores are from South America. πŸ™‚

  2. You’re allergic to mangoes? That is so sad! I think mangoes are my favorite fruit…or maybe it’s tiramisu… I haven’t looked up their taxonomy so I don’t know how closely the two are related. πŸ˜€ I will be happy to save you though: any time someone threatens you with mangoes, I will make the ultimate sacrifice and eat them! Hahaha! xo

  3. Glad you could get your harvest in before the frost. Such interesting passion fruit you have. Did not know there was a North American variety. They do not look at all like the ones we have but I am sure they are just as delicious. Stay warm! πŸ˜ƒ
