I told Lance over at Weisser Watercolours that I have a slight obsession with squirrels and would post one today in his honor, so here it is. 🙂
And an older one:
Jodi (Life in Between) requested the recipe for the cake I made for my son. I thought I’d post it here in case anyone else wants it, too.
Happy Friday and happy baking!
Oh yay! Three good things :-). Looooove the squirrels!!! And the sweet, trusting frog.
Hmm… I think your recipe is a sign that I need to get an electric mixer. It’s been ages since I made a big round chocolate cake! Plus, I’m not getting enough frosting in my diet at the moment.

Teresa I never tire of your squirrel and frog illustrations are you going to create a picture book for them?

*gasp*! Not enough frosting?! Myriam, you have to remedy that! LOL!!

Thanks, Kath! I haven’t thought of any stories yet, but I definitely will. Been busy finishing other stories first…and working on other art for contests. 🙂

….how delightful! I’m reminded of the stories of Mr. Toad of Toad Hall (is that the correct name?) and the books I read as a boy called The Burgess Books (Grandfather Frog and Sammy The Jay, etc) — you have a great hand for illustrations, Rebecca. Thank you for the mention and the post.

Mr. Toad of The Wind In The Willows! What fun that story was. 🙂 I don’t know The Burgess Books though; I’ll look them up!

A dream day for me would be sipping wine and eating frosting! LOL!

This did make me chuckle! Lovely sketch. I’m a little hooked on squirrels too, and love frogs (lots in and around the pond!), so this gets full approval from me. 🙂

Definitely! Similarly, when I was young, we had some pet chipmunks – they were so cool!

I’ve been watching Mr Gray squirrel hide his peanuts in our yard. Funny how they seem to know when winter is coming. Love your illustrations, Teresa! They always make me smile! 😊😄😊

Thank you for a return visit from Larry and Doris, and of course your mischievous squirrels!
Myriam, no mixer?!?! Heresy! What do you do during cold winters days in Canada? Baking’s the way to stay warm 😉

LOL! I couldn’t live without an electric mixer either. I should draw more Doris and Larry illos again…so little time to do everything in a day.

Thanks, Jill! Aren’t they hilarious? I love the really fat ones and the way they bounce around. I also love when they hold their tails over their bodies when it’s raining. 😀

Yes, please more D&L! I live vicariously through them. 🙂
