I’m compiling links for #SelfieArt Day today and will post tomorrow!
In the meantime, I just want to say how much my younger son and I are enjoying the Thermodynamics class from The Great Courses. Not only does Professor Grossman say “Kelvin” without “degrees” in front of it (as it should be!) but he also uses equations! It’s, so far anyway, just basic calculus, but it helps to explain concepts much better than hand-waving (I’m looking at you, Alex Fillipenko!) or even experiments, and he gives lots of demos which is also great.
How fun! I think calculus really helped me to understand so much of physics..thermodynamics, motion and energy and especially fluid dynamics. Happy learning!

We are still taking the Great Courses lectures on the Medieval Perios. Now I”m getting better the going is slower. But I think we will watch some tonight if I can keep my nose out of the book I’m reading. “Walking through the Amazon” an adventure book about true stuff. After enjoying “A walk in the Woods “By Bill Bryson I was intranced witth these kind of books. Got another from the library today.
Those Great Courses arre great! 🙂
Thanks so much for the soap, Teresa! I keep forgetting to go to facebook and tell you so. Expect me tomorrow. 🙂

Well the math is way over my head, but the drawing I can understand, nicely done.

I’m with Sharon… the drawing is awesome, but math still eludes me! Hehe😊😊And I married a scientist! Lol

If you don’t get math, all the more reason to marry a scientist who can explain it to you! 🙂 And, thank you!

So glad you like the soap, Clar! I’ve not read “A Walk In The Woods” yet (though I enjoyed his “Home”) so will have to give it a go. 🙂

Actually he was just telling me the other day he was actually bad in his Maths classes. When he’s stressed he has the same nightmare about taking a math test. Lol So maybe Phineas will have to step up and learn about it! 😉

Pooch to the rescue…again? ;D I didn’t understand calculus very well when I was at university, but relearning it with my kids, I have a much better grip on it now.

I was signed up for Calculus and Physics my senior year of high school, and dropped them for Yearbook and Newspaper. 😊 I was really good at math then, but I just didn’t enjoy it. Wanted to design and write. Hehe

I’m also with Robin on the math thing. That’s one good looking drawing, any chance of Pygamalion’ing him to make him come to life? 😉

No! You’d marvel at how he’s both good looking AND smart…you don’t always get that combination. 🙂

Heehee…wouldn’t that make you want to take thermodynamics, too? 😉 And, thanks!
