Thank you to Charlie, and more

Because this is a one-a-day blog, and also because I hate to inundate the 10 people who read my blog (hah), I don’t usually post more than once a day. But, I’ll make an exception here so I can talk about a couple of things.

First of all, I want to thank Charlie O’Shields, the genius behind Doodlewash, for #Doodlewash-ing me! If you’ve not followed Charlie yet, you should. He is a multi-talented man whose heart and humor have earned him a legion of loyal followers. Here’s where else you can find him:

Secondly, a couple of you have asked me what I’m using for my #Inktober challenge drawings, so here are some really bad photos to show you. 🙂

I mostly use the Pentel brush pen. It’s as soft as a regular paintbrush so your lines can be nice and varied (and indelible so it’s not for the faint of heart or those who like to use erasers).
And last but not least, I’m adding Jacob’s cool selfie to my #SelfieArt compilation. Check it out!

  1. That is a good selfie. I’ve found Charlie on Instagram, I’ll have to check Pinterest. Thanks for sharing your pens. I’ll have to get one that has varied lines. I love art like that.

  2. I just ordered a Pentel Pocket Brush Pen yesterday. I couldn’t resist anymore. I’ve wanted one for ages but couldn’t find it in any of the local art stores. I’m pretty excited to try it out when it comes in.

  3. Haha, I too thought for a moment there that you were calling Charlie your weapon! 😉 Once again, just to say thanks so much for adding my portrait to your collection. Very much appreciated!

  4. Have been enjoying your ink sketches, they are fabulous. Always suspected you have a sure and steady hand from your drawings, now it is confirmed having seen your pens. Thank you for sharing the pen info and the link to another great selfie. (A little behind on my WP Reader sorry so late).
