Thanks, Haunani! Yes, I always make my own crusts. This is an excellent shortening crust that’s flaky and not greasy. It’s in the Better Homes & Gardens cookbook. 🙂

I used the Better Homes & Gardens recipe for the crust and hubby used the Good Housekeeping recipe for the basic cheese-custard filling. We tossed in whatever we had on hand. 🙂

After seeing your wonderful quiches today, I was craving some fresh veggies so I went to the Farmer’s Market and went a little crazy buying stuff! lol! Nice that your hubby cooks too! 🙂

Yummy! My favorite food. I haven’t made a quiche in years and really love them. Your’s are a piece of art. And, you make beautiful crusts, something I can’t do anymore. So I appreciate what others create!

Pat, wish I could make a crust for you…hugs! My mother-in-law never even tried to make crusts; she always bought those pre-made frozen ones. They are a decent substitute for when you want pie and can’t make the crust for whatever reason.
