Weekend reprieve from the A-Z Challenge

And so I made soap. I’m naming this one Sparklemuffin, in honor of a certain spider…see the glitter on top?

I tried to make it red for Bramble Berry‘s Oh Em Gee Lychee Red Tea fragrance oil that I scented it with, but the Red Jelly color barely tinted it. Uh, the “Oh Em Gee” part is all me and not in the actual FO name in case you want to look for it. 🙂

  1. Soap! Soap! I heart soap! I’m dyeing [misspelling intended] to make a couple of wild swirly soaps soon with lots and lots of colors. If I had a million bucks, I’d sign up for one of Brambleberries Spring Challenges [where you get all the stuff for 3 projects from her book, etc] Sounds so fun.

  2. Robin E., LOL at the joke! I admire the skill it takes to make the million swirly-colored soaps, but I actually like the less psychedelic colors. 😉 Ooooh, I am SO with you about the BrambleBerry Spring Challenges! I would love to do that, too. I think you have to have decent internet connection to watch the live-casts, don’t you?

  3. Yeah, that scent is really, really nice! Although, after I made the soap, I sniffed a few bottles of scents I bought from BB but haven’t used yet and the Creamsicle and Coconut Citrus Sorbet made my mouth water. 🙂

  4. Sparklemuffin sure can shake a leg. And such a colourful muffin top! Does the glitter stay on the skin for a little while or does it get rinsed off by water?

  5. Isn’t Sparklemuffin the funniest spider? 😀 The other glitter soaps I’ve used don’t leave the glitter on the skin (unless I don’t rinse properly…LOL!). I tried not to be too heavy handed with the glitter because I know hubby doesn’t want to show up at work with glitter on his face. Hahaha!

  6. Yes quite funny, now that I have read that it is harmless to humans. Though the idea of miss muffin eating mr muffin if his dance does not impress her is a touch gruesome. If only more husbands went to work with glitter on their faces…
